The sounds that formed ‘Gray Havens’ were recorded and shaped by me in Tamil Nadu, India. Most notably, the rather lo-fi recording of the sea was made at a beach near Auroville. The year was 2009. Some fourteen years later, I found myself looking towards that same coastline in the distance, but this time from the shores of Sri Lanka. The teardrop of India, part of the same landmass… more
